PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER. YOUR PURCHASE INDICATES AGREEMENT WITH THE TERMS BELOW.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS – Custom Products

Custom Solar Screens, Solar Screen Kits, and Roll Up Solar Shades are custom items and cannot be returned.

  • Cancellations: Orders cannot be canceled after production has started. If you need to cancel a custom order, please call us at 469-333-0215 or email us immediately.

  • Errors: If we ship the wrong size or color due to our error, we will ship the correct product at no cost to you, provided you inspect the products and notify us within 5 days of arrival.

  • Finality: Orders cannot be returned or replaced for any reason after 5 days of arrival.

Sizing Tolerances

The following explains the sizing tolerances of our products:

  • Solar Screen Frames: 1/16″ tolerance

  • Custom Solar Screen Fabric: 1/8″ tolerance

  • Roll Up Solar Shades: 1/8″ tolerance

RETURNS & REFUNDS – Stock Items

For non-custom items (e.g., hardware, fabric rolls), we offer a full refund (less shipping costs) within 30 days of receipt on unused products.

  • Conditions: The buyer pays for return shipping unless the wrong item was shipped by mistake.

  • RMA Required: Before returning any item, you must call 469-333-0215 or email us to obtain an RMA number.

  • Unauthorized Returns: Returns will not be accepted without an RMA number from Solar Screen Outlet.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND SAFETY WARNINGS

By purchasing our products, you acknowledge and agree to the following safety and liability terms regarding self-installed solar screens and shades:

1. Professional Installation Disclaimer

Solar Screen Outlet is a product supplier only. We do not provide professional installation services. All products are sold for self-installation by the customer. The customer assumes all risk and liability for the proper measurement, handling, and installation of the products. Solar Screen Outlet is not responsible for any damage to windows, frames, siding, or property resulting from installation.

2. Fire and Emergency Egress

Solar screens are secondary window attachments. They may impede or delay exit through a window during a fire or other emergency.

  • It is the customer's sole responsibility to ensure that any installed screen complies with local fire codes and building regulations.

  • Customers should ensure that screens installed on designated emergency "egress" windows can be easily and quickly removed from the inside.

3. Child and Pet Safety

WARNING: Screens are not designed as safety barriers. Window screens (including solar screens) are intended only to provide shade and keep insects out; they are NOT strong enough to prevent a person (including a child) or pet from falling through an open window.

  • Do not rely on these screens to provide security or to keep individuals inside the building. Keep furniture away from windows to prevent children from climbing and leaning against screens.

4. Building Code Compliance

The customer is responsible for determining if solar screens or shades meet local HOA, city, or state building codes, including wind load requirements or historical district restrictions.

5. Limitation of Damages

In no event shall Solar Screen Outlet, its owners, or employees be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including personal injury or property damage, arising from the use or inability to use our products. Our total liability is limited to the replacement value of the product purchased.

  • Lead Times: See the note at the top of the website for current lead times.

  • Carrier: Orders qualifying for free shipping will be sent via USPS, FedEx, or UPS at our discretion.

  • Exclusions: Free shipping is not available to Alaska or Hawaii.
