How to Measure

  • If using Dual Lock or Screws Only to mount, measure the bottom width of the window frame and subtract 1/8″. Put that number in as the Bottom Width number. Measure the TALLER of the two side legs and subtract an 1/8″ and put that number in as the Taller Side Leg number. Measure the SHORTER of the two side legs and subtract an 1/8″ and put that number in as the Shorter Side Leg number.
  • If using Casement Clips (on the left and right side) to mount, measure the bottom width of the window frame and subtract 1/8″. Put that number in as the Bottom Width number. Measure the TALLER of the two side legs and subtract an 3/8″ and put that number in as the Taller Side Leg number. Measure the SHORTER of the two side legs and subtract an 3/8″ and put that number in as the Shorter Side Leg number.
  • If using Brick Clips to mount, measure the bottom width of the brick surround and subtract 1″. Put that number in as the Bottom Width number. Measure the TALLER of the two side legs and subtract an 1/8″ and put that number in as the Taller Side Leg number. Measure the SHORTER of the two side legs and subtract an 1/8″ and put that number in as the Shorter Side Leg number.

Recommendations:

  • Number of mounting pieces/hardware:
    • Casement Clips w/ Screws – 4 qty for any arch screen under 48″ bottom width; 6 qty for screen sizes over 48″ bottom width
    • Brick Clips – 4 qty for any arch screen under 48″ bottom width; 6 qty for screen sizes over 48″ bottom width
    • 3M Dual Lock – Get enough to put 2 in each corner and then space every 12″-18″ around the perimeter of the screen.
    • Screws Only – 4 qty for any screen under 48″ bottom width; 6 qty for screen sizes over 48″ bottom width
